On 25th December 2013, Kalabhairavashtami was observed at Sringeri with Bhagavan Sri Kalabhairava being worshipped in accordance with the Vedic traditions of Shodashopachara. Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri SriBharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji performed abhishekam to Bhagavan Sri Kalabhairava with pure water, milk, and Panchamrita to the sonorous chanting of Sri Rudram and other mantras by the Panditas of the Math as well as students of Sadvidya Sanjeevini Samskrita Mahapathashala. Later in the evening, Deepotsava was celebrated at the shrine in the august presence of the Jagadguru.

Ardrotsava took place on 17th December 2013 with the Mahamangalarati to Lord Malahanikareshwara and Goddess Bhavani being performed early morning in the Jagadguru’s divine presence.

On 16th December 2013, JagadguruShankaracharya Sri SriBharatiTirthaMahaswamiji worshipped Goddess Kalikamba, the guardian deity installed in the northern direction ofSringeri by Sri AdiShankaracharya.

On the morning of 12th December, the Jagadguru started from Karkala and arrived at the KrodaShankaranarayanaKshetram, in the Dakshina Kannada district. Temple officials and senior devotees offered Poornakumbha to welcome the Jagadguru and performed DhuliPada Puja to the Jagadguru.

On 11th December morning, JagadguruShankaracharya Sri SriBharatiTirthaMahaswamiji started from Sringeri towards Karkala (कार्कळ) and was received at Karkala with great reverence. Devotees performed Pada Puja and BhikshaVandanam to the Jagadguru.
