Kalabhairavashtami at Sringeri December 25, 2013

On 25th December 2013, Kalabhairavashtami was observed at Sringeri with Bhagavan Sri Kalabhairava being worshipped in accordance with the Vedic traditions of Shodashopachara. Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri SriBharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji performed abhishekam to Bhagavan Sri Kalabhairava with pure water, milk, and Panchamrita to the sonorous chanting of Sri Rudram and other mantras by the Panditas of the Math as well as students of Sadvidya Sanjeevini Samskrita Mahapathashala. Later in the evening, Deepotsava was celebrated at the shrine in the august presence of the Jagadguru.
