Mahaganapati Vakyartha Vidwat Sabha September 20, 2013

Conducted under the august chairmanship of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji in Sri Sacchidananda Vilas, Narasimha Vanam, the Mahaganapati Vakyartha Vidwat Sabha proceedings consisted of deliberations in four Shastras namely Vedanta, Mimamsa, Nyaya and Vyakarana. About 50 renowned Shastric scholars across the country participated in the Sabha and deliberated in Sanskrit for 12 days from Vinayaka Chaturthi day (Sep 9th).

Jagadguru completes 39th Chaturmasya September 19, 2013

Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji completed His 39th Chaturmasya on 19th September 2013 at Sringeri. During the Chaturmasya period, the Jagadguru performed a number of Pujas and observed a number of Vratas. These included the elaborate Shravana Somavara Pujas, the Varamahalakshmi Vrata, and the Krishna Janmashtami Puja in August. Swarna Gowri Vrata was observed in the Math premises at Pravachana Mandiram on 8th September. Many Suvasinis came to the Math from in and around Sringeri and offered worship.

Jagadguru graces Maharudra Yaga at Boluru on July 3 July 3, 2013

Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji visited Boluru near Sringeri on the afternoon of 3rd July. The Jagadguru had Darshan of Mallikarjuna Swamy and then graced the Poornahuti of the Maharudra Yaga that was conducted by Vedabrahmasri Lakshminarayana Ghanapati.

Marathon conducted by Shankara Rotary Library June 30, 2013

About 1500 children belonging to 150 different schools in Bangalore took part and ran in a 1.5 Km marathon that was organized by the Shankara Rotary Library on 30th June 2013 with the intention of attracting more children to the excellent facility that has over 3000 books and an activity centre for children.

With the blessings of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji, a Bhagavata Saptaham was organized in Sringeri by a group of devotees led by Sri Natarajan of Arasikere. Renowned Upanyaska and Sadhaka, Sri Nochur Venkataraman conducted the Bhagavata Saptaha in Pravachana Mandiram near Goddess Sharadamba temple from 14th June to 21st June.
