Kumbhabhisheka of Sri Subrahmanyeshwara Swami Temple at Kumara Park


On May 25, 2022, Jagadguru Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam performed Kumbhabhisheka of Sri Valli Devasena Sameta Sri Subrahmanyeshwara temple, Kumara Park.

Earlier the Jagadguru was reverentially taken in procession to the temple in a beautifully decorated vehicle amidst Veda Ghosha, Vadya Ghosha etc. Along with the trustees of the temple, the MLA of the Gandhinagar constituency Sri Dinesh Gundu Rao received the Jagadguru.

Then the Jagadguru performed elaborate Puja to Sri Subrahmanyeshwara Swami and performed the Kumbhabhisheka of the newly constructed Vimana Gopuram and Raja Gopuram.

In the Guruvandana Sabha the CEO and Administrator of the Sringeri Math Dr. V R Gowrishankar addressed the devotees and praised the unshakable faith of the family of the founder of the temple, Late Sri N Subbaraya Sastry in the Sringeri Jagadgurus. He also elaborated on how the family received the blessings of Jagadguru Sri Abhinava Vidya Tirtha Mahaswamiji at every milestone of the temple’s construction, with the Jagadguru performing the Pratishtha Kumbhabhisheka on April 19, 1962. He added that the sons and grandsons of the founder have always been seeking the direction of the Sringeri Jagadgurus for every activity of the temple.

Then Jagadguru Sri Sannidhanam blessed the devotees with an Anugraha Bhashanam and explained the greatness of Lord Subrahmanya. Sri Sannidhanam specially blessed Sri Ganesha Sastry (son of the founder) and his sons. MLA Sri Dinesh Gundu Rao was also present for the entire event and received the blessings of the Jagadguru.
