Karnataka CM in Sringeri December 7, 2018

Karnataka Chief Minister Sri HD Kumaraswamy Gowda visited Sringeri on December 6 and 7, 2018, had Darshan of Goddess Sharadamba and participated in Homas. On both days, the Chief Minister had Darshan and received the blessings of Jagadguru Sri Mahasannidhanam. Public Works Department Minister of Karnataka, Sri HD Revanna also had Darshan on the occasion.

Mahapradosha Celebrated December 4, 2018

With the blessings of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam and Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam, the Pradosha Sangha of Sri Sadvidya Sanjeevini Samskrita Mahapathashala conducted the Shakti Ganapati Mahapradosha on December 4, 2018 at the shrine of Sri Shakti Ganapati inside the Goddess Sharadamba temple.

Kartika Somavara Pujas December 3, 2018

Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam performed Kartika Somavara Pujas on November 12, 19, 26, and December 3, 2018 to Sri Chandramoulishwara Sphatika Linga in the afternoon amidst the chanting of Veda Mantras by the Pandits of the Sringeri Sri Sharada Peetham and the Vidyarthis of the Sadvidya Sanjeevini Samskrita Mahapathashala, Sringeri.

Laksha Deepotsava December 1, 2018

Kartika Deepotsava, celebrated by lighting a hundred thousand lamps (Laksha Deepotsava) took place on the Poornima of Kartika month on November 24, 2018. Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam arrived at the hillock temple of Sri Malahanikareshwara. After Mahamangalarati was performed to Lord Malahanikareshwara and Goddess Bhavani, Ashtavadhana Seva took place. The Laksha Deepotsava then began with Sri Mahasannidhanam lighting the first lamp. The Utsava Moorti of Lord Bhavani and Malahanikareshwara was carried along the main streets of Sringeri. Sri Mahasannidhanam then lit the huge Deepa in the form of a Sri Chakra inside Sri Sharadamba temple. Following this, the golden chariot Utsava of Goddess Sharada took place.

Ksheerabdhi Dwadashi November 20, 2018

Ksheerabdhi Dwadashi was celebrated on November 20, 2018 with a special Puja to Lord Lakshmi Narasimha in Narasimhapura Agrahara in Sringeri. Dhatri Homa and Tulasi Kalyanam were also performed at the temple. The Poornahuti of the Dhatri Homa and Mangalarati to Lord Lakshmi Narasimha took place in the divine presence of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam.

Vidyashankara Aradhana & Rathotsava November 14, 2018

The 685th Aradhana of the 10th Acharya of the Peetham, Jagadguru Sri Vidyatirtha Mahaswamiji was observed reverentially on November 14, 2018. Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam performed the Aradhana Pooja at noon in the sanctum sanctorum of the magnificent Sri Vidyashankara temple built over the Samadhi location of the 10th Acharya.

Go Puja on Bali Padya November 8, 2018

Bali Padya was celebrated on November 8, 2018. Go Pooja was performed by Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam in the morning in Narasimha Vanam. Sri Mahasannidhanam also had Darshan at all the temples. Balindra Pooja was performed in the evening at Goddess Sharada temple.

Jayantis of Acharyas November 6, 2018

On the 126th Jayanti day of the 34th Acharya, Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam and Jagadguru Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam offered homage at the Adhishthanam shrine in Narasimha Vanam at noon and were present for the Arati of Shatarudra Abhisheka Puja. Sri Sannidhanam also performed a special Puja with Rudra Krama Archana at the shrines at night. Sri Mahasannidhanam was present for the Mahamangalarati. On the 101st Jayanti day of the 35th Acharya, Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam offered homage at the Adhishthanam shrine in Narasimha Vanam at noon and was present for the Arati of Shatarudra Abhisheka Puja.
