Jayantis of Acharyas


 

The Jayantis of the 34th Acharya of the Peetham, Jagadguru Sri Chandrashekhara Bharati Mahaswamiji and the 35th Acharya of the Peetham, Jagadguru Sri Abhinava Vidyatirtha Mahaswamiji was celebrated on November 3, 2018 and November 6, 2018 respectively.

On the 126th Jayanti day of the 34th Acharya, Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam and Jagadguru Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam offered homage at the Adhishthanam shrine in Narasimha Vanam at noon and were present for the Arati of Shatarudra Abhisheka Puja. Sri Sannidhanam also performed a special Puja with Rudra Krama Archana at the shrines at night. Sri Mahasannidhanam was present for the Mahamangalarati. Sri Chandrashekhara Bharati Navaratnamalika (penned by Sri Mahasannidhanam) was chanted at the end of the Puja.

Earlier, in the morning, Vidyarthis and Pandits of the Sri Sadvidya Sanjeevini Samskrita Mahapathashala assembled at the Adhisthana Mandapa for a Sabha. The Sabha began with Veda Parayana and salutations to the Jagadgurus of Sringeri. This was followed by a couple of Vidyarthis recounting the life of the Jagadguru. The Sabha was presided over by Vidwan MA Nagaraja Bhat who spoke in Sanskrit on the life of the Mahaswamiji.

On the 101st Jayanti day of the 35th Acharya, Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam offered homage at the Adhishthanam shrine in Narasimha Vanam at noon and was present for the Arati of Shatarudra Abhisheka Puja.   • It is pitiful that when many of us are asked, “who are you?”, The first thought that arises is “I am a Keralite”, or “I am a Punjabi”, etc. The thought that should immediately stem is “I am an Indian”. If people first feel that they are Indians and only then think of divisions, the nation will have great prosperity and the divisive forces will not be operative as they are today.
