Kartika Poornima Celebrations at Sringeri Shankar Math Pune December 9, 2013

With the blessings of our Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji, Sri Sringeri Shankar Math Pune celebrated Tripura Poornima (a.k.a Kartik Poornima), on Sunday 17th November 2013, with flower Alankara to all the deities, Annadanam to about 1000 devotees (at the Math and off-site) followed by Deepotsava in the evening.

Sringeri Shankar Math Pune at Veda Sastroktejas Sabha December 9, 2013

Sri Sringeri Shankar Math, Pune provided the required materials for preparation of food for all the students, their teachers and the examiners at the Veda Shastrottejak Sabha in Pune during the annual Sanskrit and Vedic examinations between 17 and 27 October 2013.

Tulsi Vivah Ceremony at Sringeri Shankar Math Pune December 9, 2013

Before Kartik poornima,preferably on Dwadashi tithi, every year, Sri Sringeri Shankar Math, Pune conducts Tulsi vivaha. Devotees prepare eatables in their houses, offer the same as naivedya and distribute to all present amidst fire-works display. This year the Tulsi Vivaha ceremony was conducted on 14th November, 2013 in accordance with the scriptures.

Dhanur Maasa Pooja at Sringeri Shankar Math Pune December 1, 2013

This year Dhanur Maasa Pooja starts on Monday 16th December 2013 and ends on Monday 13th January 2014, Bhogi. During this period the temple opens at 4.30 am in the morning. Harathi is done before sunrise followed by parayanam of Sri Aditya Hrudaya Stotram. The daily Vaiswadeva Homam will be performed by 9.30am.

Navachandi Parayana and Homam at Sringeri Shankar Math Pune October 27, 2013

With the blessings of the Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji, Navachandi parayanam & homam was celebrated at Sringeri Shankar Math, Pune on Sunday, Ashtami, 27th October, 2013. About 300 devotees participated. Mahaprasadam was served to all those present.

Sri Sharada Sharan-Navaratri celebrations at Pune Sringeri Shankara Math October 4, 2013

Pune Sringeri Math at Veda Sastroktejas Sabha August 21, 2013

The annual congregation of about 30 Sanskrit institutions of Pune was held on 21st August 2013, at Veda Sastroktejas Sabha. Sringeri Shankar Math, Pune served snacks at the venue to about 300 participants at 6pm on that day.
