Events at Sringeri on the occasion of Dedication of the Holy Statue of Jagadguru Sri Adi Shankaracharya at Kedarnath Dham


On November 5, 2021, the day marking the dedication of the statue of Jagadguru Sri Adi Shankaracharya at Kedarnath Dham, where the Jagadguru completed the sacred mission of His Avataara, events took place in Sringeri Math.

At Guru Nivas, Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam and Jagadguru Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam offered Pushpanjali and Mangalarati to the silver Vigraha of Sri Adi Shankaracharya. 

The telecast of the dedication of the statue at Kedarnath by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Sri Narendra Modi was shown live at the Jagadguru Sri Chandrashekhara Bharati Sabha Bhavanam near the Sharadamba temple. Hon’ Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Ms. Shobha Karandlaje, National General Secretary of Bharatiya Janata Party Sri CT Ravi, Deputy chairman of the Karnataka Legislative Council Sri MK Pranesh and former Sringeri MLA Sri Jeevaraj attended the event in the Bhavanam. Sringeri Math CEO Sri VR Gowrishankar received the diginitaries, lit a traditional lamp along with the dignitaries and felicitated the dignitaries at the end of the event. 
Upon invitation from the Chardham Board of Uttarakhand, the Sringeri Math sent a representative to Kedarnath to be present on this important occasion to convey the Srimukham (benedictory message) of the Sringeri Jagadguru to the Hon’ble Prime Minister and to offer Seva at the Jyotirlinga Kshetram of Kedarnath.
