Girija Kalyanotsava

Girija Kalyanam was celebrated at the Malahanikareshwara temple in the divine presence of the Jagadguru Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam on Vaishakha Shukla Dwadashi (May 16, 2019). Pandits from Sadvidya Sanjeevini Samskrita Mahapathashala chanted verses pertaining to the wedding ceremonies of Lord Shiva and Goddess Girija. Earlier, Vara Puja was performed in Pravachana mandira in the divine presence of Sri Sannidhanam. The ceremonies for the night, connected with the Utsava, concluded with a Mangala Aarati at around midnight.

As part of the Utsava, Ashta Dravya Ganapati Homa was conducted on May 13. A Maharudra Yaga was conducted in the temple premises from May 14 to 18 with the Poornahuti being offered in the divine presence of Sri Sannidhanam.
