Sannyasa Sweekara Day of Sri Sannidhanam

February 11, 2016 (Maagha Shukla Triteeya) marked the first anniversary of the Sannyasa Sweekara day of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam. In accordance to the Chaandramaana Panchanga, the day marked exactly one year of the historic Shishya Sweekara of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam. Devotees felt thrilled and blessed to behold Sri Mahasannidhanam and Sri Sannidhanam as they arrived to have Darshan at the temple of the presiding deity of the Peetham, Goddess Sharadamba.

Earlier, at 10 am, Sri Sannidhanam had Darshan at the Adhishthanams of His Paramaguru, Parameshti Guru and Paraapara Guru. Sri Sannidhanam then proceeded to the northern banks of the river Tunga and had Darshan at at all the temples in the Math’s premises. Sri Mahasannidhanam also arrived at the northern banks of the Tunga and along with Sri Sannidhanam proceeded to the new building complex “Sri Sharada Sadana” behind the “Sri Bharati Tirtha Prasada” Bhojana Shala. Officials of the Math led by CEO of the Peetham, Sri V R Gowrishankar offered prostrations to the Jagadgurus. The Jagadgurus then graced the Poornahuti of the Ganapati Homa performed on the occasion. Sri Mahasannidhanam then inaugurated the building complex.

Sri Mahasannidhanam and Sri Sannidhanam then proceeded to Goddess Sharadamba temple and had Darshan. From the Sharadamba temple, Sri Mahasannidhanam returned to Narasimha Vanam to give Darshan to devotees.

Sri Sannidhanam walked from the Sharadamba temple to the temple of Lord Malahanikareshwara. After His noon Snaanam and Aanhika, Sri Sannidhanam performed elaborate Pujas to Sri Stambha Ganapati, Lord Malahanikareshwara and Goddess Bhavani. The Pujas began at 12 noon and went on till 4 pm. Sri Sannidhanam then blessed the devotees and returned to Narasimha Vanam.
