Pattabhisheka Day

The 26th anniversary of the Pattabhisheka day (marking the day of the ascendance to the Dakshinamnaya Sri Sharada Peetham at Sringeri) of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji was celebrated on November 1st 2015. On this auspicious day, a Sahasra Narikela Homa was performed and Poornahuti took place in the Divine Presence of Sri Mahasannidhanam and Sri Sannidhanam (Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam). Earlier, the Jagadgurus had Darshan at all the temples in the premises of the Math. In the evening, a function was held in the presence of the Ubhaya Jagadgurus to recognize the efforts of the Sevaks who are serving the Math. Sri V R Gowrishankar, CEO & Administrator of the Peetham, read out the report of the Navaratri celebrations and mentioned that this year’s Navaratri was historic in that the Ubhaya Jagadgurus graced the Durbar, the first after the Shishya Sweekara in January 2015. The Ubhaya Jagadgurus then blessed all the staff of the Peetham and the assembled devotees.

On 8th November, Sannyasa Sweekara day of Sri Mahasannidhanam was observed. The Ubhaya Jagadgurus had Darshan at all the temples in the Math.
