Jagadguru after performing Kumbhabhisheka at Mallikarjuna swami temple at Hamate

On 26th May 2014, Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji graced Hamate Sri Mallikarjuna Swami devasthana (around 20 KMs from Sringeri) and performed a detailed Puja, PunaH Pratishtha and Kumbhabhisheka to Sri Mallikarjuna Swami. In the Guruvandana Sabha held immediately after Kumbhabhisheka, the Jagadguru blessed one and all with an Anugraha Bhashanam. The Jagadguru said that the Lord Vishweshwara at Kashi, Ramanatha at Rameshwaram, Mallikarjuna at Srisailam and Mahakala at Ujjain are one and the same. Except for the names, there is no difference in the Chaitanyam. In our Sanatana Dharma, God is one and not many. In and around Sringeri we see Ishwara worshipped in the name of Mallikarjuna. Jagadguru Sri Adi Shankarabhagavatpadacharya also praised the Lord with this name in His beautiful work Shivananda Lahari “सेवे श्रीगिरिमल्लिकार्जुनमहालिङ्गं शिवालिङ्गितम्”. Then the Jagadguru praised the efforts of Sri Sheshadri who had studied in Sringeri Pathashala and and has been serving for many decades as an Archaka in the Chennai R A Puram branch of Sringeri Shankara Math, and felicitated him with a shawl. The Jagadguru blessed all the devotees who took part in this renovation and Kumbhabhisheka activities and blessed all the assembled devotees.
