Day 13 Rajagopuram Kumbhabhishekam Celebrations


 

The celebrations of the Kumbhabhisheka of the magnificent Rajagopuram reached its zenith on June 8 2014, when the Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji performed the historic Kumbhabhisheka of the Rajagopuram.

Today, on June 13 2014, the Purnahuti of the Atirudra Mahayaga conducted in the divine presence of the Jagadguru Mahaswamji, in the specially erected Yagashala near the Vidyashankara Temple, at noon marked the completion of the rituals and ceremonies of the Kumbhabhisheka.

The cultural programmes also drew to a conclusion with a Bhajan performance by Asthana Vidwan Shenkottai Sri Harihara Subrahmanya Bhagavatar and Party in the evening. The Jagadguru listened to the Bhajans for sometime after having Darshan of Goddess Sharadamba.

This was followed in the late evening by a traditional Yakshagana performance by Sri Durgaparameshwari Yakshagana Kala Sangha, Malla, Kasargod district.
