Jagadguru opening “Sri Bharati Tirtha Sabha Bhavana” by lighting a traditional Deepa

The Jagadguru Mahaswamiji reached Balpa in the evening of 20th February 2014, and was taken in a grand procession amidst devotees in huge number from the neighbouring villages singing Bhajans. The Jagadguru visited Sri Trishulini Devasthana. With the local people bringing to notice the dilapidated condition of the temple, the Jagadguru blessed the devotees for taking up renovation activities.

Later in the premises of Sri Durga Parameshwari Devasthanam, the Jagadguru opened a huge hall “Sri Bharati Tirtha Sabha Bhavana” by lighting a traditional Deepa. After the Dhuli Padapooja, the Jagadguru blessed the assembled devotees with a short Ashirvachanam. The Jagadguru commended the devotion of the citizens of Balpa towards the Sringeri Sri Sharada Peetham. Devotees looked upon the Peetham with the deep sense of attachment, that it is their Guru Peetham. The Jagadguru blessed all who had worked and contributed towards the cause of the construction of the Sabha Bhavana. In the night, the Jagadguru performed the Sharada Chandramoulishwara Pooja in the new Bhavana. Following this, the Jagadguru worshipped Sri Durga Parameshwari Amba with a special Pooja and offered a Gold Maangalyam to Amba.

On 21st February 2014 morning, after giving Darshan and blessing the devotees with Phala Mantrakshada Prasada, the Jagadguru gave an Anugraha Bhashanam on the greatness of Sri Shankara Bhagavatpada. The Jagadguru explained the significance of the Upadesha – सङ्गः सत्सु विधीयतां भगवतो भक्तिर्दृढाधीयताम् – Be in the company of Satpurushas and strengthen your Bhakti. At the end, the Jagadguru blessed one and all and mentioned that He had prayed to Amba Sri Durgaparameshwari to remove all the distress experienced by the villagers. The Jagadguru blessed specially Sri Karunakara Rao belle for making all the arrangements and also the Archaka Sri Srivatsava for his sincere devotion.

  • Just as in this body, the embodied one passes through boyhood, youth, and old age, so does one pass into another body. With reference to this (birth, aging and death), the wise man is not disturbed. Bhagavan Sri Krishna on Significance of God
  • An object continues to be dear as long as one derives pleasure from it and it is detested for the duration that it causes pain. The same object cannot be always liked or disliked. Sometimes, that which is not dear may become dear. Moreover, that which was loveable can turn unpleasant. The Atma, towards which affection never wanes, is always the most beloved. • It is pitiful that when many of us are asked, “who are you?”, The first thought that arises is “I am a Keralite”, or “I am a Punjabi”, etc. The thought that should immediately stem is “I am an Indian”. If people first feel that they are Indians and only then think of divisions, the nation will have great prosperity and the divisive forces will not be operative as they are today.
