With the Benign Blessings of Jagadguru Shankarayarya of Dakshinamnaaya Sri Sharadha Peetham,Sringeri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji, Samskrita Dinam was observed on Sunday the 29th of August 2010 at Sri Sringeri Math, Chembur, Mumbai. The programme commenced with Guru Vandanam and Veda Ghosham by Sri Phanisha Sharma, Veda Adhyapaka of Sri Abhinava Vidya Tirtha Veda Samskrita Patashala.   The chief guest for the occassion was Dharmapracharakar Sri A.S.Gopalakrishnan who spoke about the importance of Samskritam.  Sri Ashok Venkatram, former Editor of  “Sri Sharada Kripa”, Samaveda Srouthigal Sri Nagaraja Sharma, Samskrita Teachers, Smt. Indira Muralidharan, Shri Raju and also Karya Karta of Samkrita Bharati Sri Mithesh Katria and Shri Subrmania Iyer spoke on this occasion. The speakers  advised younger generation to learn the language which has all the sastras in elaborate manner like Science, Mathematics, Astrology, Medicine, etc. which is not in other languages.  Vidyarthis of Sri Abhinava Vidyatheertha Veda and Samskrita patashala and Samskrita Bharathi, Chembur particiated in the programme. Sri K.Vaidyalingam welcomed the Guests and also thanked the guests, teachers, students and public for participating in the function and requested their support to conduct the function every year.  The entire programme was conducted in Samskritam.

If people first feel that they are Indians and only then think of divisions, the nation will have great prosperity and the divisive forces will not be operative as they are today.
