Jagadguru Graces Ayurveda College at Shoranur


 

The Mahaswamiji arrived at the Keraliya Samajam Ayurveda College, Shoranur on 10th May 2010 and was accorded a red carpet welcome. Local MLA Sri C.P Mohammed, Chairperson of Nagara Sabha Smt. C.K. Jayalaksmi, and Samajam Secretary Sri M. Muralidharan and Dr. V R Gowrishankar welcomed the Mahaswamiji to address the staff and students of the Samajam.

In His Anugraha Bhashnanam, the Mahaswamiji reminded the person that helping the needy is the greatest service and Adi Shankaracharya has emphasized on this aspect. The Mahaswamiji also said that the Divine Power is same everywhere though the system and methodology of worship may vary in temples according to the place and traditions. The Mahaswamiji stressed that association with noble souls is paramount to bring about peace and happiness in our lives.

On May 11th morning, the Mahaswamiji arrived at the PNNM Ayurveda Medical College at Shoranur maintained by the Peetham and went through the entire campus. The Mahaswamiji interacted with the Ayurvedic doctors and students.

A public function was organized to welcome the Mahaswamiji gracing the college for the first time since its inception. Sri P.N Gopalakrishnan, co-ordinator of the Yatra briefly described about the establishment of four Peethams by Adi Shankaracharya, and the greatness of Sringeri Sharada Peetham and the Mahaswamiji. He added that the Mahaswamiji is particular about Vaidika Dharma and is an ocean of compassion and has been supporting many medical institutions. Sri Muralidharan of the Ayurveda College recalled the visit of Jagadguru Sri Abhinava Vidyathirtha Mahaswamigal about 40 years ago when the institution was very small. Today it has become a great institution, thanks to the support and guidance of Sringeri Sharada Peetham.

In His Anugraha Bhashananam, the Mahaswamiji stated that Ayurveda, the most ancient system of therapy covers the whole gamut of health science. The Mahaswamiji added that, for the success of any venture, one should possess faith, dedication and above all the grace of the Guru, and the PNNM Ayurveda College is a standing testimony to this.
