Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji started from Sringeri on 3rd March, camped at the Sringeri Shankara Math, Kadur and reached Tiptur the following evening. On 5th March, the Mahaswamiji performed special Puja to Mahaganapati, Goddess Sharada, and Sri Adi Shankaracharya. Shatachandi Mahayaga was conducted on the occasion. The Poornahuti took place in the divine presence of the Mahaswamiji. In the evening, a public function was held to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the establishing of the Math. The Mahaswamiji gave an Anugraha Bhashanam highlighting how the teachings of Sri Adi Shankaracharya apply in the present day. The Mahaswamiji started from Tiptur the next day, halted at Sakkarayapatna and returned to Sringeri on the evening of 7th March.
