Governor of Karnataka pays homage to the Jagadguru

and his family pay homage to The Jagadguru at Sringeri.

The Governor of The State of Karnataka, His excellency Sri Hansraj Bharadwaj, today on the 30th of July 2009, visited Sringeri and paid homage to The Sringeri Jagadguru, Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswami and sought His blessings to serve the people in accordance with the Path of Dharma as laid down in the scriptures. The Governor also had the darshana of Goddess Sri Sharada and other deities. In an audience with the Jagadguru the Governor discussed at length on the greatness of Adi Shankaracharya’s philosophy apart from being informed about the various dharmic and social activities of the Math. The Governor was presented with a Shawl and a momento by the Jagadguru.
