With the blessings of the Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji, a Sahasrachandi Mahayaga took place at the famous Udbhava Ganapati Devasthana in Belawadi from 17th to 21st November. The Jagadguru travelled to Belawadi on the 20th of November for gracing the Poornahuti of the Mahayaga the following day. On 21st, the Jagadguru visited Sri Veeranarayana temple, and had Darshan of Lord Veeranarayana and Lord Narasimha. The Jagadguru also worshipped at the Udbhava Ganapati Devasthana following which devotees offered Bhikshavandanam and Pada Pooja to the Jagadguru. The Poornahuti of the Sahasrachandi Mahayaga then took place and the Jagadguru returned to Sringeri the same evening.

  • It is pitiful that when many of us are asked, “who are you?”, The first thought that arises is “I am a Keralite”, or “I am a Punjabi”, etc. The thought that should immediately stem is “I am an Indian”.
