Jagadguru announces Maharashtra tour


 

On 24th May 2007, a Guru Vandana Programme was organized in the Shankar Math premises. Various diginitaries including Karnataka Home Minister Sri M P Prakash, former Union Minister Sri C K Jaffer Sharief, the former Chief Minister Sri Dharam Singh spoke expressing their devotion and gratitude to the Jagadguru for having blessed the city of Bangalore for 3 fortnights. The Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Sri Vilas Rao Deshmukh reverentially invited the Jagadguru to tour Maharashtra. The Jagadguru in His Anugraha Bhashanam blessed the citizens of Bangalore and remarked that Bangalore was a special place as it was the birthplace of His Guru, Jagadguru Sri Abhinava Vidyatirtha Mahaswamigal. He commended the efforts of various volunteers who had helped in the successful conduct of various activities and functions related to the Centenary Celebrations at Bangalore. Acceding to the request of various disciples in Maharashtra, and the invitation placed by the Maharashtra Chief Minister, the Jagadguru declared that with the Blessings of Goddeses Sharada, He would tour Maharashtra.
