Go Puja and Bali Puja October 27, 2011

Bali Padya was celebrated on 27th October, the day after Deepavali. Go Pooja was performed by the Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji in the morning in Narasimha Vanam. Balindra Pooja was performed in the evening at Goddess Sharada temple.

Jayantis of previous Acharyas October 25, 2011

The Jayantis of the 34th Acharya, Jagadguru Sri Chandrashekhara Bharati Mahaswamiji and 35th Acharya, Jagadguru Sri Abhinava Vidyatirtha Mahaswamiji were observed on 23rd and 25th October respectively.

Kirtankar Sammelan at Sringeri October 16, 2011

The 5th annual Kirtankar Sammelan was held in Sringeri from October 14th to October 16th 2011. The first four Kirtankar Sammelans have been held in Maharashtra after the Sammelan was begun by the Peetham in the divine presence of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji in 2007 at Ahmednagar, Maharashtra (during the Jagadguru’s Vijaya Yatra in 2007).

Karnataka CM Visits September 13, 2011

On September 13th, Karnataka Chief Minister Sri Sadananda Gowda visited Sringeri and had Darshan at temple of Goddess Sharada. He then came to Narasimha Vanam and had Darshan of the Jagadguru.

Mahaganapati Vakyartha Sabha September 13, 2011

Conducted in Sri Sacchidananda Vilas in Narasimha Vanam, the Mahaganapati Vakyartha Sabha proceedings consisted of deliberations in Shastras such as Vedanta, Mimamsa, Nyaya and Vyakarana. About 50 erudite shastric scholars across the country participated in the Sabha and deliberated in Sanskrit for 13 days from Vinayaka Chaturthi day (Sep 1st).
